The MariWeb™ AIS Portal for Maritime Exchanges
MariWeb™ is a unique suite of Automatic Identification System [AIS] network software that implements the full International Association of Marine Aids to Navigation and Lighthouse Authorities [IALA] A-124, IALA A-126 and IALA A-123 Recommendations along with United States Coastguard [USCG] Port And Waterway Safety System [PAWSS] AIS message set and the Inland waterway AIS message definitions.
The above makes the
MariWeb™
AIS Portal an ideal system for use as a Maritime Exchange.
The MariWeb™ Maritime Exchange [MMX] version has the following unique features tailored to meet the demands of Maritime Exchanges and the Port Community at large:
- The MariWeb™ Maritime Exchange is an AIS Portal for sharing information such as documents, local weather, vessel arrivals and departures. The AIS portal has a content management System [CMS] included allowing for rapid updates of the portal to enable the port community to be fully update especialy in cases of emergency.
- MariWeb™ Voyage Manager [MVM] that tracks the movements of vessels from predicted arrival through to actual departure. This includes all inter-port movements, pilot and tug events and an export to an accounting system.
- MariWeb™ reporting system that allows regular reports to be created and generated so that these can be faxed or emailed to the various members of the port community.
- Data storage and query allowing detailed reports to be created and made available to the various members of the port community to enable planning or expansion.
The MariWeb™
Electronic Chart System
[ECS] uses a web server as the interface allowing any member of the
port community that has a user name and password to connect to a
Logical Shore Station [LSS] (an LSS is essentially a well defined view
of the AIS data along with defined access to various functions) and
have a clear view of the port vessel activity as defined by the LSS
that they are connected to. This could, for example, allow the tanker
facilities operator to see all pilot boats, tugs, firefighting vessels
and tankers in the port environment and nothing else.
The MariWeb™
AIS Portal has a billing interface plus a contact management interface
ensuring that the AIS Portal can have an income to cover the costs of
operation.
