About IMIS Global Limited
IMIS Global Limited is a privately owned company that was established in Hampshire, UK in July 2000 to develop maritime AIS network software to fufill the IMIS Global Limited goal of Connecting the Maritime World. Additional offices were opened in South Africa (2002), the USA (2003), Greece (2007) and Northumberland (Administration and Sales) in the United Kingdom.
An intense period of research and development activity culminated, in 2003, in the release by IMIS Global Limited of MariWeb™, one of the the world's leading web based Vessel Traffic Information System [VTIS]. MariWeb™ utilises the large volumes of data made available from the Automatic Identification System [AIS] transponders fitted onto a constantly increasing number of commercial vessels, aids to navigation, fishing vessels and leisure craft.
The application of MariWeb™ technology to this AIS based data provides enhanced safety, security, environmental and cost benefits for maritime authorities, vessel owners and operators and many other organisations operating within the maritime world who benefit from being provided with valuable maritime data on a real time basis.
IMIS Global Limited has deployed MariWeb™ systems on a global basis and includes Croatia (national), France, Belgium (national), Greece (national), UK and Uruguay with some of these systems being used by national maritime safety and security authorities. In addition to these systems, two of the world's largest maritime information service providers in Belgium and the USA are powered by MariWeb™ networks.
The senior management of IMIS Global Limited are all highly experienced and possess skills and abilities ranging from software systems development through to training, marketing, finance and communication network operations. All of the IMIS Global Limited senior personnel have held high-level positions in major organisations.

IMIS Global Limited Technical is based in Hampshire and Administration and Sales is based in Northumberland in the United Kingdom. The UK is the head office for all of the IMIS Global Limited divisions.IMIS Global Limited has Trevor Evans as its Chief Executive Officer [CEO] and Ernie Batty as its Technical Director.
The branch offices in the USA and South Africa report directly to IMIS Global Limited in the UK.

IMIS Global Limited has a branch office in Bonaire, Georgia although this office will be relocated to Louisiana during the second half of 2010.This office is headed by Diane Flatt who coordinates all of the IMIS Global activities in the USA and the Americas
IMIS Global Limited (South Africa)
The IMIS Global Limited software development team operates primarily from Gauteng, South Africa. This team is headed by Werner Hauptfleisch with Rhyno Meyer and Dalene Kleingeld providing valuable support.All second and third line support is provided by the South African technical team.
