AIS in Ports

MariWeb™ is a unique suite of Automatic Identification System [AIS] network software that implements the full International Association of Marine Aids to Navigation and Lighthouse Authorities [IALA] A-124, IALA A-126 and IALA A-123 Recommendations along with United States Coastguard [USCG] Port And Waterway Safety System [PAWSS] AIS message set and the Inland waterway AIS message definitions.

This makes the MariWeb™ AIS network an ideal system to implement within a port environment for enhancing the safety, security of a port and protecting the maritime environment and at the same time improving the efficiency of the port operations.

The  MariWeb™ Electronic Chart System [MCS] and the MariWeb™ Event Manager [MEM] that includes automatic anchorage, berthing, arrivals and departures events allows port operations staff more accurate and efficient.

The MariWeb™ system can be connected to an ARPA Radar. This allows AIS targets that have passed through the MariWeb™ firewall to be displayed on the ARPA Radar and the ARPA targets (manual and / or automatic) to be displayed using the approved symbology on the MariWeb™ ECS.

The MariWeb Archive Server will store both the AIS and ARPA targets en suring that, if there is an analysis of the data at some later point, the entire scenario can be investigayted. The MariWeb™ Playback Server [MPS] allows the playback of AIS and ARPA data at various speeds.
