MariWeb enables the detection and monitoring of vessel activity within environmentally sensitive areas, supporting compliance with Marine Protected Area regulations.
The MariWeb system allows the connection of AIS, Radar and CCTV systems. This enables the detection of vessels entering and their activity within environmentally sensitive areas or Maritime Protected Areas (MPAs) close to shore and within range of these sensors. The detection events trigger a range of configurable alerts that notify those monitoring these areas of vessel activity.
Automated messages can be sent via AIS to vessels approaching and entering environmentally sensitive areas, with instructions as to the actions required — improving compliance without requiring manual intervention for every event.
MariWeb can interface with 3GPP Maritime Trackers (GSM) that can be used to download vessel track data as and when they come back into range of available GSM networks. This allows tracking to continue even when vessels are outside traditional shore-side radio networks — critical for monitoring in remote or offshore MPAs.
