This Privacy Policy describes how IMIS Global Limited ("IMIS", "we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the MariWeb Mobile application ("the App"). The App is available exclusively to registered MariWeb users and is not a general public application.

1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information from the Main System
When you log in to the MariWeb Mobile App, we access the following information that is already held in the main MariWeb system:
- Username
- Email address (if provided in your account profile)
- User ID
We do not collect any additional personal information beyond what you have already provided to the main MariWeb system.
1.2 Location Data
With your explicit permission, the App may access your device's location. Location data is used solely to provide location-based functionality within the App (such as nearest AtoN or vessel position context). Location access can be revoked at any time through your device settings. We do not track or store your location history on our servers.
1.3 Device Information
We may collect basic device information including device type and operating system version to ensure compatibility and to diagnose technical issues.
1.4 Push Notification Token
If you enable push notifications, the App uses Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to deliver notifications to your device. A device-specific push token is generated by Firebase and associated with your user account for the purpose of delivering notifications. This token does not contain personal information.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information collected to:
- Authenticate you and provide access to your MariWeb account
- Deliver push notifications related to your account and subscribed alerts
- Provide location-based features when you have granted permission
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues with the App
- Improve the App's functionality and user experience
3. Third-Party Services
The App uses Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM), a service provided by Google, to deliver push notifications. Firebase may collect certain device-level data as part of its service operation. IMIS does not control the data practices of Firebase.

We do not use any other third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services within the App.
4. Data Security
We take the security of your information seriously. All communication between the App and our servers is encrypted using industry-standard TLS protocols. Access to user account data is restricted to authenticated sessions only.
While we implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. We encourage you to use a strong password and keep your login credentials confidential.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of any inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Withdraw consent for location access at any time via device settings
- Disable push notifications at any time via device settings

6. Data Retention

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
