Overview

PortWeb has a comprehensive suite of services that enables the monitoring of offshore wind farms using redundant AIS base stations. The PortWeb system can mark the offshore wind farm using virtual AIS AtoN. All vessels entering the initial warning zone are detected and sent a preconfigured warning message using Addressed AIS Safety Related Message (SRM) services, while raising an alert with the user or monitoring authority.

Oil & Gas Platforms

The PortWeb system can also be used for offshore energy platforms (oil and gas) when the correct AIS base station (1 watt RF) and Radar (dome-protected) is used. The system is sufficiently flexible to support all three topologies:

• Shore-based system with sensors on the platform, monitored from shore
• Platform-based system installed on the platform and monitored from the shore
• Fully platform-resident system installed and monitored on the platform itself
