IMIS and Australian Maritime Systems installed MariWeb version 4 for the Maritime Ministry in Turkey, connecting more than 35 AIS base stations along Turkey's extensive coastline, including the Black Sea, Aegean Sea and Mediterranean coasts.
A key feature of this deployment is the Turkish Class B specification for fishing vessels, requiring domestic fishing craft to carry AIS transponders and report additional fisheries data fields. Turkey's national AIS network supports maritime domain awareness, vessel traffic services, search and rescue and fisheries monitoring across one of the most strategically important maritime regions in the world.
