IMIS worked with Australian Maritime Systems to install and configure MariWeb version 4 for the Canadian Coast Guard national AIS network. The system connects more than 100 AIS base stations and can track more than 100,000 AIS-equipped ships, linking all Canadian Coast Guard regional systems to two redundant central systems.
Canada's national AIS network is one of the most geographically extensive in the world. The MariWeb installation provides the Canadian Coast Guard with a nationally integrated picture of maritime traffic, supporting search and rescue, vessel tracking and maritime security.
