IMIS, along with ORBCOMM and Stone Three, arranged a one-day maritime security conference at the CSIR (Council for Scientific and Industrial Research) in Pretoria, South Africa.
The conference brought together maritime authorities, technology providers and security professionals to discuss the use of AIS in maritime domain awareness and security applications across the southern African region. Topics included satellite AIS integration, AIS data analytics, maritime security applications, and the role of AIS in fisheries monitoring and enforcement.
